We understand that your time is important to you and the last thing you need to do is waste it.That’s why we have self service banking, just for you. It’s the way of the future and you’re invited to get on board. Choose from internet, cellphone or telephone banking and have your finances at your fingertips, any time and any place. 

Why self service banking?

  • Bank when it suits you and avoid the queues
  • It costs you less:

– If you only use SMS and/or self service
   telephone banking, you bank for free.
– For only R16 per month, you can access all the
   self service banking channels which include
   cellphone banking: SMS and WAP, internet
   banking and telephone banking: self service
   and agent assisted.

How do I get on board?

To start banking you’ll need to activate your self service banking profile by following these easy steps:

  • Give the call centre a ring on 0860 654 222 or visit a Nedbank branch.
  • Make sure you have your account number and your South African green barcoded identity book with you.
  • Ask for your profile to be activated – you will be given a temporary PIN, which you will need to change to your very own secret PIN.
  • Start banking.

Note: If you set your profile up through the call centre, your payment limit will be set at R1 000 for security reasons. You can change your limit by visting a Nedbank branch and supplying personal identification.

Internet and WAP banking


Transactions available:


  • Balance enquiry and statements.
  • Last five transactions.
  • Account payment and once-off payments.
  • Interaccount transfers.
  • Change of four-digit profile PIN.
  • Add, edit and delete beneficiary details.


For internet banking go to:

For WAP:


https://www.nedbankmobile.co.za on your WAP enabled cellphone.


Telephone banking


Transactions available:


  • Balance enquiry and statements.
  • Last five transactions.

SMS banking


Transactions available:


  • Topping up of airtime.
  • Balance enquiries.
  • Payments and transfers.


Just dial *120*001# and press the call button.


  • You’ll get a message. It will ask you for your profile number.
  • Press ‘answer’ or ‘reply’, your profile number and ‘send’.
  • You’ll then get a message askingfor your PIN.
  • Press ‘answer’ or ‘reply’, your PIN and ‘send’.
  • Just follow the menu and start banking.
